Tanks has been family owned and operated in the Houston area for over three decades, and its thirteen play areas cover around 43 acres just southwest of the city. The range of activities is the point here: paintball from age seven with a low-impact option, gellyball from five, plus airsoft and axe throwing. Covered seating and plenty of parking make it a practical choice for a birthday party or a company outing rather than a hardcore day out.

Before you go
Call ahead. Walk-on hours, rental availability and minimum ages move around by season, and plenty of fields only open midweek for booked groups. If it's your first time, ask whether they run low-impact paint — it changes the experience a lot for younger players.
Budget roughly $35–60 for entry, rental gear and a starter bag of paint at most US fields, with extra paint sold on site. Group and birthday packages usually work out cheaper per head. Minimum age is typically 10, dropping to about 8 where a field runs low-impact paint. Wear long sleeves, long trousers and closed-toe shoes.
