DMZ has been running in Southern Oregon since 2000 and is veteran and family owned, with a full pro shop attached to the field. There are three layouts: an urban field built from wood structures with a centre flag and respawns, a mixed fort-and-woods field that rewards flanking, and a competition speedball field with inflatable bunkers and sidelines for spectators. Walk-on entry is cheap if you bring your own gear. Private groups run Saturdays, ten players minimum, ages ten and up.

Before you go
Call ahead. Walk-on hours, rental availability and minimum ages move around by season, and plenty of fields only open midweek for booked groups. If it's your first time, ask whether they run low-impact paint — it changes the experience a lot for younger players.
Budget roughly $35–60 for entry, rental gear and a starter bag of paint at most US fields, with extra paint sold on site. Group and birthday packages usually work out cheaper per head. Minimum age is typically 10, dropping to about 8 where a field runs low-impact paint. Wear long sleeves, long trousers and closed-toe shoes.
